Lapis Lazuli and Freshwater Pearls Necklace

Deep blue lapis lazuli is accented by gold and freshwater pearls in this royal necklace. The lapis beads are a heishe shape, like short little cylinders. The gold accent beads are vermeil, which is a thick layer of gold over sterling silver. The clasp is gold-fill, which is a thick layer of gold over a base metal (much thicker and higher quality than gold-plated, which will quickly wear down to the base metal). The centerpiece, accent beads, and clasp were all handmade in Bali, Indonesia. The centerpiece bead measures 5/8 inch (15 mm) long by 1/2 inch (12 mm) wide. The total length is 23.5 inches.
